Couture Sewing Class - Blouse with Smocking Technique (Online & On-site)

In this sewing course, we will create a stylish blouse together and learn the following techniques:

• Smocking technique
• Rolling silk or artificial silk
• Setting in sleeves
• Bias tape finishing on a V-neckline.

The blouse you make during the course would have a sales price of €620 if it were custom-made in our bespoke atelier.

As a bespoke tailor, I will show you our professional approach and explain in detail the specially selected sewing technique for this course, as well as all other steps necessary to complete the garment.

I recommend this course if you already have solid sewing skills and want to expand them with special handicraft techniques. It is suitable for both experienced hobby sewers and professional tailors as a continuing education course.

You have various options for participation: from online courses to live sewing lessons in our bespoke atelier in Moers.

The online course as a self-study unit includes:

• 6 tutorial videos, each with 20-30 minutes of explanations
• Pattern and template as a PDF for self-printing
• Support via WhatsApp from the tailor (max. 30 min. per course)

We recommend that you order the starter package including fabrics and accessories such as thread, pattern, buttons, and interfacings directly from us when placing your order. Alternatively, you can purchase the materials yourself using the shopping list. In addition, we also offer live sewing lessons on this topic, where you can ask questions directly in class and exchange ideas with other participants.

The next planned live dates are as follows:

• Live online sewing lessons (via Zoom): January/February 2022
• Live on-site sewing lessons (in Moers): January/February 2022

(Course takes place with a minimum of 5 registrations. A maximum of 12 participants per course.)

Of course, the appropriate pattern in your ready-to-wear size is always included. For premium and live courses with fabrics & accessories, you also have the option to further adapt your pattern to your proportional sizes. For this, we need your height, bust circumference, waist circumference, hip circumference, total length, sleeve length, and shoulder width. Please note, however, that even then it is not a bespoke pattern, and we cannot truly assess the fit remotely.
